Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!

Dear Emanuel County Early Learning Center Families,

Welcome to a new school year at the Emanuel County Early Learning Center! As I begin my second year serving as Director, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible support, trust, and partnership our families have shown over the past year. It has been a privilege to become part of this community, and I am excited about all that we have planned for the year ahead.

One of the greatest strengths of the ELC is the strong sense of community we build together. We believe that children are most successful when families and school staff work as partners. Open, honest, and consistent communication between home and school helps us provide the very best experience for every child. We encourage families to stay connected with teachers and staff, ask questions, share concerns, and celebrate successes with us throughout the year. Together, we can create a supportive environment where every child feels safe, loved, and ready to learn.

The Emanuel County Early Learning Center is truly the start of something BIG! We are comprised of Early Head Start, serving children from birth to age three and their families (including pregnant women), and Emanuel County Pre-K, which serves students at both Swainsboro Primary School and Twin City Elementary School. Our dedicated staff is committed to helping every child develop the skills, confidence, and curiosity needed for future success.

Our mission is to ensure that each child has a positive and exciting start to their educational journey. We are proud to have a team of highly qualified educators and caregivers who are passionate about early childhood development and committed to building meaningful relationships with children and families.

As we prepare for the start of the school year, please make note of these important dates:

Important Dates

  • July 20, 2026 – Early Head Start resumes regular operating hours.
  • July 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM – Pre-K Parent & Family Orientation Night.
  • July 30, 2026, from 4:00–6:00 PM – Pre-K Open House and Meet the Teacher Event.

These events provide wonderful opportunities to meet our staff, learn about classroom expectations, ask questions, and begin building the relationships that make our school community so special.

Throughout the year, we look forward to offering family engagement activities, celebrations, learning opportunities, and events that bring our school community together. Whether you are returning to the ELC or joining us for the first time, we are excited to partner with you in your child's growth and development.

Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious gift—your child. We are honored to be part of their educational journey and look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.
